How to Make an Omelette
Omelette’s are an often under-appreciated meal and can be perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They are very versatile and easy to make once you have the techniques down.
Ingredients
2-3 eggs
pinch salt
pinch pepper
small knob butter
1 tsp olive oil
Notes
- Use 2-3 eggs for your omelet and start by whisking them up and adding a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Cook over medium heat – you don’t want to cook eggs over too high of heat or you get crispiness that you don’t want with eggs.
- 1:48 – this is the important cooking technique for getting the omelette to set up.
- Add the cheese before the egg is fully cooked so the cheese can start to melt as the egg finishes.
- If you want to add other toppings like mushrooms, peppers, onions, bacon, cook them first and then add the eggs to your pan so they are well-incorporated.
