How to Cook Perfect Pasta

Pasta is seemingly an easy dish to cook, but the last thing you want is overcooked or undercooked pasta or pasta that sticks together in clumps. These tips from Gordon Ramsay will ensure you have perfectly cooked and seasoned pasta every time.

Notes

  • Seasoning the water is very important – salt for flavor and olive oil to stop the pasta from sticking together.
  • Bring your water to a rolling boil before adding your pasta, and use tongs to gently fold it all into the pot.
  • You want your pasta to be al dente – firm without being crunchy.
  • After draining, season your pasta with salt, pepper, and a tablespoon of olive oil to stop it from sticking together.
